91 automatic transmission torque converter bolts removal being a pain

Try just wedging a longass, thick screwdriver up in there with the flex plate and crack the bolts that way...let the screwdriver wedge against the side of the access opening...has worked for me in the past on other automatics...

you would have to get everything in a good position...use a box end wrench to loosen the flex plate bolts...if a standard wrench doesn't give you enough leverage, put a pullpipe on it...

We just used this technique to torque the crankbolt on an automatic NB at the end of a timing belt change about a week ago.
