Today i discovered a OEM feature mazda should have put in the owners manual but they didnt......




THATS RIGHT!! WE HAVE A BUILT IN GRILL/SLOW COOKER! 20 min at idle with the hood closed will make you a amazing hotdog!

we do this all the time at the shop i work. usually cinnamon buns or pop tarts from the vending machine :p

I have pictures of trying this with an egg and sausage bagel on someones turbo manifold after he spent a good time on the track. Even at idle after redlining it for half the day barely heated up the food. Tip: propane stove. Works way faster and easier. Lol

small stuff like hot dogs and maybe warming a soup would be legit.

anything bigger takes longer and would be a waste of gas (unless you really, really need that steak), at which point it'd be best to build a grill on your headers to cook with, as the heat shield isn't going to cook it thoroughly under an hour. used to talk with the northern loggers and that's how they would cook their lunches: wrap it all up in tinfoil and put it in the diesel "oven" for about an hour.

I put Vienna sausages in the radiator, gives them a nice sweet taste.
