Good job, Bill. I've had that site bookmarked for a while. It's helpful for those who are apprehensive about finding the missing mounting hole underneath the plastic seatbelt tower trim. The only problem is that he lists the wrong size for the mounting nuts you need to source from the hardware store since early cars don't already have a captive nut. I never did install the cockpit brace, though, as I am waiting to get a roll bar first as it sometimes causes interference.

Quite a few of the Japanese rollbars won't fit with this; most were originally sized to fit the NA6CE. I had to take chunks out of the brace when I fitted a Carbing-Okyuyama 6-pointer.

great thread. i have two 10" subwoofers in a custom fitted box that fits right behind the seats. i have a 93 so all i need is the cockpit brace and the box will be secured by more than just the back of the seats..lol
