I have a cesspool of a build thread over on MT.net. So I'm posting an abridged version here. Basically starting with the events of last week.

This is a long ass list of everything I can think about that's on my car. It gets driven on the track a lot, and to work. I build everything I can, because I'm a cheap bastard.

I'm an electrical engineer by profession, but I like to moonlight as a mechanical "engineer" by night. Welding, grinding, fabrication, you name it, I'll try it. But overall electronics and megasquirt are my specialties, as you will see with some of the unique stuff I have done.

Most of the cool stuff so far is lots of datalogging through MS3. PWM fuel pump control, MS3 traction control. And a twin disc.

Then this happened.



Pretty much the best girlfriend in the world, encouraged me to buy a pretty large turbo.

A full out forged build that will happen over the winter. Which is the reason I started the thread here.

I'll also be attempting a Ford T5 swap along the way.

Manifold details:

I'm making a wittyworks clone, will look something like this:



Drew up a port matched flange with a friend in solidworks to get cut out of 316SS, because 304SS rusts in oregon.



If I can get my hands on it the manifold will be built out of 321SS schedule 40, because bombproof.

My car is an ugly piece of ****, so no need to see the rest of it. I will post updates here as they happen.

This is the goal:



Soviet was able to do this on a similar motor to what I am building, with the exact same manifold.

What it do?! You're going STI this year?

That's like full race. Koni Yellows and a pod filter.

I'll port over a couple of the better posts from my other thread in the next few days. Some of the interesting megasquirt stuff, and good destruction carnage. You will come to see that I am able to destroy anything I touch.
