for my steering wheel i have the daikei hub which came with its own resistor thing. that has always worked but this weekend i took the passenger airbag out and installed an amplifier in its place. of course my light has started blinking now.

question is: can i use a steering wheel resistor in place of the passenger one or are they different?

Not sure about the NB, but in my 97 (which should have a relatively similar airbag system) the same 3.3-ohm resistance worked for the passenger side as it did for the driver side.
