<---- wants to make joke about 16 yr old girl and inappropriate acts towards said girl, but understands its probably too soon. Well not for her, in some states at least.

So did she roll through the red light going 5 mph?

no... hit me going about 10~ after slamming on the brakes from 40ish. she was crying and so was her 8 yr old brother...both complaining about how they were going to be late to school. got all her info and a pic of her drivers license. probably going to try to get her parents to just give me like 500 bucks and not get insurance involved unless they don't want to work with me.

she had a steel boat buick and you cant tell she hit anything besides some very slight paint transfer.
i pulled the fender out so i could get to work but it looked about twice as bad before.

Geeze, Duh. I forgot about concept of brakes for a sec.

It'd be best if the parents did just pay you out of pocket. Hopefully they know that.

I have to admit, I was a dumbass 16 yr old, that hit a parked car in a parking lot. Same thing... went from about 30 to 0 but only because I hit the car, not because of proper use of brake pedal. Anyways, the owner of the car was for some reason so damn cool, he just made me pay him his $300 deductible and said he'd report it as a hit and run. Saved. My. Ass.

If you do get $500 from them, it might be time to look into cf fenders...

My niece (15 years old) was at her class to get her permit (school sponsered I believe) and when told to turn right at the stop sign she signaled for a right then turned left and hit a mail box. Can't wait to see how she does in the future and oh yeah, after seeing my car she too wants a Miata. Poor car I feel sorry for it already.

Dang, that sucks.

Who the hell thinks texting and driving is a good idea? I know there were shitty drivers before cellphones, but sometimes I think cars should be legally required to broadcast a signal that jams them within a 5' radius any time the engine is running.

They absolutely make jammers like this - giving you a "cone of silence". I would like nothing better than to find a cell phone driver and drive right next to them till I see them put the phone down.

I've wanted to install one in my wife's car ever since we had kids (without her knowledge). I have asked her to stay off the phone in the car because I see how she drives when the phone is out. She sees it as a productive time to make calls - she's not doing anything else. :fp:

Yeah, but they can still text on the phone even if they have no signal to send the message....
