I'm buying some 195/45's to throw on my 15x7 +13 Kosei's and I'm on a budget. Just curious if anyone has a preference between these two. Grip? Treadwear? Noise?

Was gonna buy some 195/50's, but I don't know how well they will fit being mod slammed.

They're going on my 200whp Miata and I'll probably be tracking/drifting it this year, but it's also my DD.

Any input is appreciated, thanks guys (and girls :littlepony:).

I used the 595's for DD, I drove on them quiete a bit and auto crossed along with 1 or 2 drift events. They were pretty good in the rain i had fun driving spirited with them and also at the auto x they got kind of sloppy though. After the drift event they began to chunk and wore really uneven, they also became really rough so i had to remove them

Well they are both budget tires..

The 595 have a lower treadwear which usually means it's softer.. and as such I'd think perhaps more grip.. They also run a size "big" as do the Nexen.. your choice... I just ordered some N3000 for my DD, no track, maybe the odd slide.. I ordered because they have good treadwear, are cheap, and didn't have many option in my size.

When I first got my car, it came with new N3000s. They were crap. No grip to speak of, and fairly rapid wear for some odd reason. By the time I upgraded to a better setup the shoulders were pretty chewed up, and that was only after about 3000 miles.

definitely get the T1Rs. I had nexen's and i hated them. barely any grip in the dry, no grip at all in the wet.

the federals arent too bad, imo theyre the best bang for your buck tire out there but for an extra 40$ i would definitely get a set of t1rs.

I have nexxans on my mk2, and I quite like them. Toyo T1R's are better tires, but in my area the only 195/45's i could get without shipping were the nexxans.

They dont have mad grip, but the life is quite fine, and for a light car(2000lbs) they handle well, if not great.

I used to have a similar setup - mod slammed on 195/45/15 nexens, 15x7+19
195/45/15 is too short. For sliding, get the nexens. They suck at grip ;]
What do you mean 195/45's are too short?

And those pics look sunk, especially the last one. That's +19 offset?
