thats the plan haha
id like itb,s but there expensive and involves alot of wiring and mapping.
just thinking carbs would be easyer.
hard to tune but once thats done i think theyed be just as good.

thats what i thought. you will spend just as much on carbs as you will itbs. well if you plan to rev over 5k rpms. most carbs run a vacuum advance but there is know way to run one on the miata(that i have found). so you will need a ecu with a map sensor or a standalone ignition timing control unit to act as you timing advance.

just finished reading your thread. i love it.
so would a megasquirt ecu work there or is there any way of using standard ecu?
it wont be getting done for a while as im concentrating on getting the car on the road first so im just looking into it for now. idealy id like to build a really high revving responsive engine. alot of headwork,cams,lightweight flywheel and carbs.
what kind of power are you expecting for when your finished with yours?

im looking at maybe 125hp. you can run the carbs on the stock ecu but it will not run right anything over 5K rpms will run ruff
