Is it effective? Why does it work? Is it worth the money? Any hp gains when you add a more open air intake?

Just a few questions... =D>

If I recall correctly some users have been able to measure some small gain but it's so insignificant you probably won't feel it. Most believe it's just engine bay decoration.

From what i recall, the larger intake chamber on the ARC system was to help with the torque curve, not sure on the 1.8L, however on the 1.6L with the wilder cam that kicks hard at 4,500rpm im sure that with a complete system (ie intake, header, cat, and exhaust) it would improve your mid-range torque curve vs other setups.

There was an old issue of Options or REVspeed that had dyno measured hp/torque gains from the ARC charge intake vs some other setups like HKS, GReddy, etc and it was ahead of the competition.
