Hey guys, the local autocross club where I live has gone through a recent leadership change and it brought up a couple of questions. For those of you that do autocross, how many runs do you get in a day? How long are the runs? And finally how much does the club you run with charge for a day or a weekend?
I get 4 runs, 5 on a rad day
Small course, so usually 30-40 second runs. Next year we're moving back to a larger venu, more like 60-70 second range runs. Last time I went, it was 4 runs.
I think I usually pay 45, or 50 bucks.
NER SCCA was $40 for 6 runs on a ~60sec course (for my slow Miata). If there were a lot of timing issues or broken cars, you'd get 5. If you're not an SCCA member, add $15.
That was with 120-150 people. They are very well organized and efficient about getting runs in.
Here in the Gulf Coast Region, we usually get around 8 runs, $45 for non-members. Sometimes we get fun-runs too. We also benefit by being really close to Wiregrass, and decently close to Dixie and Delta. So you can really fill your month out with seat-time if you want.
