I didn't post in the big (NA) Roadsters, show us your aftermarket wheels! thread because this isn't my Roadster and these aren't my wheels. I don't even know what type they are.

But I have noticed more people putting chunky wheels on their Roadsters lately. I'm seeing more and more bippu style wheels on Roadsters from the cruiser and drifter crowds. I've even seen Lowenharts on a Miata. I know they're very heavy but I'm wondering is this a trend that is gaining in popularity? It seems to me that chunky wheels (wheels with wide spokes) are very common on luxury vehicles like Lexus, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz (AMG), etc. but most Roadster owners prefer the more pure, traditional lightweight tuning style.

Naw, us Rednecks still use them on our trucks :p

I kinda like the look of that Miata. It'd be kinda cool slappin' those on and cruising down the street  Only thing is, my car is going to be driven hard
