Braille 11.5 lb

The B14115 battery was the first battery Braille released. This battery has great all around performance for small displacement motors. Using our AGM racing technology it has 904 PCA, more than any other battery in its weight class.



The other popular option for the Miata's who are looking to save even MORE weight is the Braille 9lb battery.

At 9 pounds, the B129 boasts 813 pulse cranking amps more than any other battery in its weight class. This is the perfect battery for those that need just little bit more power than the B106, but are looking to save every ounce vs. stepping up to a B14115 battery.

^ I think Kenjo is making a bracket to work with these iirc.

Wish I would have found more info on these batteries four months ago. I just recently got a a replacement for mine..

I am going to have to read everything you posted at another point, but does cold weather affect the reliability of these batteries?

Braille batteries have the best cold cranking amperage out of all leading batteries!!!


Cold Cranking Amps is a rating used to give an approximation of a battery’s ability to start an engine in cold temperatures.

The higher the CCA rating, the greater the potential starting power of the battery in colder weather. Braille Battery’s are tested using conductance testing which is an approximation of BCI testing.

The BCI rating is the number of amps a new, fully charged battery can deliver at 0° Farenheit for 30 seconds, while maintaining a voltage of at least 7.2 volts, for a 12 volt battery using a draw down test.

Since this type of testing can shorten the life of a battery, Braille’s batteries are individually tested prior to shipping using the conductance method. This method is much faster and less destructive to batteries.
