At NonStopTuning we are very keen on saving weight on your vehicle, that is why we are offering another great product to our Club Roadster Members, the full line of Braille lightweight batteries!!

From the very beginning of motorsports, the quest for speed and success is constantly pursued. Engineers quest for a faster vehicle and drivers look for greater control and safety. What is really necessary in a vehicle? Is there a better way to acheive the same results with better materials and design? To find these answers, Braille Battery works closely with designers, engineers and drivers to develop superior enhancements to the required components of vehicles.

This quest for lightness has lead to our constant pursuit of the best products for our teams and our customers. It all began with one racer looking for a faster way to climb a hill. That racer was the founder of Braille Batteries. He was looking for the fastest way to get to the top of the famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb in the 1999 “Race to the Clouds”. He found the fastest way, becoming the Rookie of the Year and 4 years later a winner of this famous race.

We all have our own hill to climb. It might be the goal of a drifting championship, like Braille Battery sponsored 07 & 08 Formula D winner Tanner Foust. Maybe we dream of winning the 24 Hours of LeMans or Daytona 500 like Braille customers Pratt & Miller Motorsports or Penske Racing. Your goal might just be shaving time off your next quarter mile attempt or circling your local track faster. No matter how high the mountain you wish to climb, understand that our companies founders understand your passion. We know it is always easier if you start with the lightest battery and have reliable results. These are the foundations of the Braille Battery brand, we hope that we can start your next journey, race or project and be there for the endurance.

Braille Lightweight Batteries are used by drivers in the following series:

• FIA Formula Racing
• Formula Drift
• Speed World Challenge Series
• SCCA ProRally Series
• SCCA Regional and National Racing
• NASA Touring Cars
• Battle of the Imports Drag Racing Series

The two most popular options for Miata's

Braille 11.5 lb

The B14115 battery was the first battery Braille released. This battery has great all around performance for small displacement motors. Using our AGM racing technology it has 904 PCA, more than any other battery in its weight class.

The other popular option for the Miata's who are looking to save even MORE weight is the Braille 9lb battery.

Braille 9.5lb
At 9 pounds, the B129 boasts 813 pulse cranking amps more than any other battery in its weight class. This is the perfect battery for those that need just little bit more power than the B106, but are looking to save every ounce vs. stepping up to a B14115 battery.

1. Excellence
Great all around performance for small displacement motors. Using AGM racing technology, Braille Batteries have the highest PCA and CCA, more than any other battery in each weight class.

2. No Spill, No Corrosion, No Maintenance
Technically registered as a "sealed valve regulated" design, this patented technology completely eliminates acid spills and corrosion on terminals. This design is environmentally safe does not need filling and maintenance. Air shipping approved.

3. Exclusive Dual Terminal Design
A Braille Battery exclusive! This feature allows the battery to be mounted in a variety of positions. It is designed to accept racing, powersports and automotive terminals vertically and horizontally.

4. Stainless Steel Terminals
Stop loose battery connections with our robust stainless steel threads. These heli-coil design threads allow higher bolt torque and help keep your battery connected even in high vibration environments.

5. Exclusive Brass Auto Terminals
Included with every Braille Auto Battery are patent pending high quality brass SAE terminals. Designed to distribute the electrical load into and out of the battery. Designed for high amperage, high stress use of racing and audio competitions.

6. Green from Start to Finish
We employ a manufacturing process with the highest concern for the environment and quality. Recycled lead, plastic and stainless steel ensure we'll have a future to race towards.

7. Solid Top Lead Connectors
Shaken, not stirred - From 6 "G" NHRA drag launches, to 4 G cornering loads in Indy this design holds the internals firmly in place.

8. Performance Certified - Fully Charged
Every Braille Battery is individually tested and certified before shipping, eliminating DOA batteries. Fully charged and ready to install at time of shipping.

I am going to have to read everything you posted at another point, but does cold weather affect the reliability of these batteries?

Braille batteries have the best cold cranking amperage out of all leading batteries!!!

Cold Cranking Amps is a rating used to give an approximation of a battery’s ability to start an engine in cold temperatures.

The higher the CCA rating, the greater the potential starting power of the battery in colder weather. Braille Battery’s are tested using conductance testing which is an approximation of BCI testing.

The BCI rating is the number of amps a new, fully charged battery can deliver at 0° Farenheit for 30 seconds, while maintaining a voltage of at least 7.2 volts, for a 12 volt battery using a draw down test.

Since this type of testing can shorten the life of a battery, Braille’s batteries are individually tested prior to shipping using the conductance method. This method is much faster and less destructive to batteries.
