Hi,
I'll present myself, my name is Maxime and I live in Quebec, Canada.
The miata is my dad's and I loved that car since I've seen it the first time (my father bought it new so I actually grew up with it)

The roadster has been winter driven during 7+ years (yes, with salt) and un-loved for basically 13 years. Last summer, I got my liscences and I've been the only one to drive it during all summer, I love it so much (I also drive a '04 mazda3 and it doesn't even compare to it, only powerfull).

The car needed love so here's what we did:

2006:
-New tires : Falken ZIEX-512 ; LOVE THEM, can go fasted in the corners!
-Catalytic converter : TEST PIPE ; gained a bit power, no change in sound.
-Stereo : 1999 Mazda Protege Stereo ; worst crap ever bought.
-Clutch : New clutch ; I don't like the feeling, too hard... maybe something wrong ?
-Exhaust : Bosal OEM replacement ; OEM replacement...
-Shocks : KYB GR-2 ; Old blown shocks were crap, those are great!
-Hardtop : YELLOW HARDTOP FTW!!! SOLD, got funds.
-Headlights : New headlights + Corner lights, looks better than broke ones.

2007:
-Cheap chrome exhaust tip
-New soft top with glass window
-New shift boot
-Sirius satellite radio setup
-Back to OEM stereo, less problems

Some pictures:

The car with the yellow hardtop

Yellow hardtop (for sale), looks great!

Butt shot + new exhaust tip

Carpet is desastrous...

My ghetto fitted stereo and the nardi knob + worn leather seats

Driver's door interior (broken)

Rust :(

Daisy for the win

To do list:
-Carpet + Floormats
-Shifter problem
-New CD player
-Exhaust job
-Driver's door
-Driver's window (slow)
-Seats
-Soft top
-Repaint
-Shift boot
-Remove the antenna
-Need new radiator cap
-Need new air intake

Mods I'd like to do:
-Spec Style air intake
-Lowering springs
-15" wheels
-Red dash lightening
-Start engine button
-Headers
-OEM Front lip
-Style bars (yes I like the look)
-2003 Protege Headunit
-Cruise control

In all its beauty:

Welcome to the club!!

Check the For Sale Section out for used parts and also to list that Hardtop for sale so you can get more exposure.

Check with Planet Miata for any used parts you might need that might not be had but the locals.

Check the ROADSTER COMMUNITIES (Canada Section) to meet some fellow owners for some help/advise restoring it

I'm not in a hurry selling the hardtop, might wait until the summer and make a road trip to USA, I'll sell it cheap and if somebody knows someone nead quebec or NY I could make it there and make somebody happy hehe I'm tired of the yellow green miata !

BTW, for persons that never tried a hardtop, IT'S AWESOME FOR DEAD ANGLES

Well, the hardtop is sold now.

The rust continues comming, I'll think of an offensive way to stop it. With no money it's hard.

Right now the door is repaired, but I lost a mirror while driving and I need a new battery :(

My intake should be ready in the next few weeks.

I'm not gonna paint the daisies yellow.
