WERD! I traded my oem hood for a CF hood this weekend.
all it cost me was some time and effort, and my wife and I made a weekend out of it. Auto cross, cinco de mayo party, hot tubin' and early morning runs in the mountains.

Thread with more details, pics etc can be found here;

Looks cool, Im gonna pick me up one for my car this summer.
Nope, the kid I traded with was tired of getting harrassed by cops or other ricers who think he's some kind of street racer. He's strictly auto-x, no street racing. Very noble. He wanted something OEM.

I don't mind cause it looks PHAT on black! and because it doesn't seal like oem, there's some extra ventalation going on. I might add a few extra washers for the old-school-JDM-revese cowl look. 8)

Looks cool, I've found a couple sites that offer CF hoods as OEM replica's (meaning no scoops or cowls) but I wouldn't spend what they're asking on them. The stock aluminum hood is already so light it doesn't latch when you just drop it.

As a trade though, I'd say good stuff.
