in the middle between no exhaust and stock i would so so it is on the deep side - the original exhaust was pretty much no exhaust since i broke the db level at track so i had to replace it with this

Does this have an O2 sensor bung on it near the cat end? If not, it won't fit a 1.8. Just got a 1.6/1.8 Jackson Racing exhaust and it has the bung and a block off plug for a second O2 sensor.

94-95 doesnt need an O2 bung on the catback. Only 96-97. So this does fit a 1.8, I just put it on.
