Before I start, I don't know where to post this, so, Mods, please move this to the appropriate section.

Alright, so, when I'm driving down the road, I'll sometimes hear this noise come from either the middle, or back of the car, and it sounds like crickets are chirping. That's the best way I can describe it.

I'm just wanting to know if I should be concerned. I know, sounds weird, but, I came from Hondas, so, don't expect too much yet lol.

Sounds like it could be your slave cylinder. When you push in the clutch does it go away?

Mine does this a little too. Something in suspension I'm sure.

Just when your driving or does it happen when the car is stopped?

Does the sound go away when you press the clutch if the car is stopped?

Does the sound go away when you press the brake pedal if it only happens when the car is moving?

Mine does it only moving clutching or not.

Speedo cable. Does the speedo gauge twitch? Very easy one handed way to check. Reach under car and remove cable from transmission. Its threaded onto passenger side of tranny. Disconnect and drive. Listen for noise.

Hmm my speedo don't twitch but I know my rpm gauge does.what does that mean?

I cant tell that anything changes when it happens. It's only when I'm normally driving. It stops when I push either clutch or brakes. My Speedo doesnt twitch though.

I experienced the same noise coming from my NA before i replaced the speedo cable. Im pretty sure if your rpms are jumping around and not staying steady thats a good indicator. Its also fairly simple to switch out.

So the the MPH don't jump around if the speedo cable is bad its the rpm? Shouldn't it be called the rpm cable? Just saying.

I'll look into though. I stopped last night at home and sat there for a minute to see if anything would bounce, and my RPM's did.

This happens to my MSM when its running. I lay my foot on the clutch and it goes away. As chirps away when I am driving along the road..

Grease the little connection point between the clutch slave and the fork on the side of the trans. Black moly works well.

^I'll try that. If it doesn't work, oh well. It's not a problem. As long as my speedo still shows how fast I'm going, I'm fine. I never really use my tach anyway.
