Hi all!

First post here, but I've been lurking around for quite some time, and this seems to be the best forum for my questions!

I'm about to buy this car:

It has the flyin miata big brake kit and suspension package (the tokico set), and is currently running on 17" (!) wheels. Normally, 17" wheels look like crap on an NA, but this one still looks OK, probably because of the body kit.
(but I'm not sure if I'll keep the body kit)

Anyway, I'd like to roughly recreate the look of this car: http://www.motormavens.com/2009/08/webmining-maxpower-marks-fd3s-rx7/ , but without completely messing up the handling/ride.
Those wheels are rota grid drifts, as far as I know. Rota grid V's could work as well, I think. Or rota k7's.

Drifts 16x8 ET10: 16" might be to big for an NA, but considering that the current wheels are 17", I'm not sure for this particular car. 225/40:65 gbp is rather cheap for the width you get, no stretch, but it might not fit/look silly. 195 tires are also cheap, and 215/40 is roughly the same as the 225/40's.

V's 15x7 ET20: probably the easiest fit, but not much dish and maybe too small for the 'look', cheap tires (195/50: 36 gbp)
V's 15x8 ET0: hard fitment, car needs to be really low to make it work, could still work with the cheap 195/50 tires

K7's 15x9 ET36: best offset, relatively light for the size (lighter as all the other wheels afaik), but the most expensive tires(215/45:71.5gbp, 225/50: 84.5gbp), no clue about the fitment/look
(EDIT: found pictures with 205/50 tires, what doesn't seem to bad:

My tire prices are based on toyo t1r's on camskill. That's the only tire I know that's good for the money it costs and is available in many sizes. There might be better price/quality options for a certain size, I just don't know them!

So, in short: the car should still handle, not look completely silly without being slammed, and clear the brakes (I might downgrade to the OEM bbk from the 1.8 sport, as I'll probably have to change the wilwoods every year for the technical inspection here). The car will be a daily driver (well, let's hope so!), and will see fun roads and hopefully some tracks/autox in the near future.

Suggestions/idea's/examples/photoshops(!) are appreciated!

Thanks

The ones that are on it! Drive the car the way it is for a while and see how you like it. Maybe you'll notice something else you want to change first.

Those C3M's are nice too! However, they don't seem to be available here (mainland europe) :(

@tylerq: I like them all, I'm mainly asking what would be the best buy for fitment/wheelsizes/etc, or alternative wheels that look alike. I'm not asking to pick the right color/spoke design :p
