This is my build log for my racecar. Mostly for documenting things for myself but i do appreciate feedback from my fellow CR brethren.

As the car sits now 2/2/16

Onto the build though.
So I bought ole' blue almost two years ago as a stock '92 miata. Found it for a great deal so I had to jump on it.

After that I drove it around, did a few auto crosses and just learned how to drive. After a few autocross' I added a RB sway bar, some Koni yellows, and Dunlop z1s.

In August or so, one of my buddies was letting go of his miata, so i bought the hardtop from him. It is a Snugtop brand but it gets the job done. As well as my Hard Dog, which I sprayed white.

I started doing some body work because it has some mild hail damage...

Then did my first track day with the car. I saw a some guy almost get Paul Walker'ed

A couple days after that I got the whole car in primer and put on the springs i had laying around, as well as the wheels I bought. Everyone knows what they are. Konig flat-out, 15x8+25 w. 205/50 tires.

The paint has taken the longest time between work and school. Im just glad it's finally all one color.

Some time went by and I got a free weekend to spray the whole car again. I also put on the tow hooks and lips I received as gifts for christmas.

Picked up a 1.8L engine to swap. I rebuilt it with a .020 over-bore, new pistons, bearings, valves, etc....
(Took about 8 months to get the motor together due to insufficient funds)

I picked up a seat that was brand new for dirt cheap. Its a Momo start 2007 model. I think i paid like 250 or something like that.

We picked up a 2003 Club sport, Which is just a fancy base model 2003. Gonna finish the build and run STR with it.

here is the club sport that my dad bought for my brother............

I know that car! Freds old Miata from somewhere around Asheville, NC; that car is the reason why I had an "almost" perfect season with HSCC.
Nice work on the blue one, paint looks good!

Nice work on the car man! Glad that you actually painted it, instead of leaving it in primer, and kept it blue too!

I'm also 17 with a smurf. Freakin awesome that you're already tracking yours, wish i could do that! I'm gonna do a bunch of autocross in the spring though. Also super awesome that your school has an auto shop class, we don't have anything like that.

i thought all the club sport cars were white.

also good to see more ky people, looks like the kyr region is still autocrossing at ups.

Isn't the Club Sport the reason we are allowed to remove softtops in CSP, because they came from the factory without them?
I also believe they were all white.

They made 50 club sports, 25 white, and 25 red. Also 25 were hardtop(no soft top) and 25 were soft top only. But yes that is the reason why CSP allows us to remove the soft top. And I'm 99% sure I can show up without a soft top at AutoX and run in CS because they made 25 without them.

i really enjoy the ebay wheel i have, just the QR and hub are crap, it wobbles likes its not held in place. so i just ordered an NRG QR and slim hub, but im using the wheel from ebay. hopefully it cleans up a bit as well.
