uh-oh i just ordered up a valve cover off the protege but i think it may be the same one.... am i going to have a problem with the coil pack? what are some solutions you guys have come up with?Professor Dwight said:Awesome! Thanks!brian said:
Think this might be a "cleaner" way to use the 323 GTX valve cover, without having to ghetto fab up a new bracket for the coilpack.
Anybody gone this route?
They go bad for no reason. Most of the time, the coils crack and moisture gets into the coils. Then they go bad. The rubber insulator most be installed too. The whole kit looks good and performs good but then it goes bad one day and there are not replacement parts. In fact, I don't even know if they ever replace any parts. I sent my unit to Joe @ Rspeed a while back. He sent to Splitfire, Japan about 1 year and half ago. Still no word from Splitfire. You can contact Joe if the above statement is not true.Professor Dwight said:Yikes!M2-1028 said:I had two set of them. Once a coil goes bad, you wasted $500.00 dollars. Any idea why it failed? Coil-on-plug technology is supposed to be good for 100K+ miles.
