What are the pros/cons of running 205 40/16s in the front and 205 45/16s in the back?

the 45s are stickier and better tires (Toyo T1S) and the 40s are some no name-Japanese High Performance All season radials.

there won't be much of a difference. depending on what tire is on the rear wheels will make your speedo innacurate (to a degree).

personally, i'd put the better tires on the front till race day then swap them, unless you don't race, in which case i'd keep the good ones on the rear.

man i hated 205/40/16 front with lrg setup in the rear on a different application. brake lock-up was very fierce on these low pros up front. its like asking 4 death on downhill runs. but its a killer on uphills.
