I know all of you read more than just one automotive board. Let's post up all those dope pics of cars that are saved in your computer. Regardless of make or style. If you think it's sweet, then post it up. I'll start.

Miata content.

That's Rick. He's crazy quick. He also is the only person I'm aware of to do the 24 Hours of Deals Gap. Over 1000 miles, back and forth, for 24 hours.
I was hoping you'd chip in on that, Scott. Thank you for the back story!

Love notchbacks.
If I drove that car, I'd probably be dressed like this:

I would too, except I'm neither awesome nor black.

Is that a Karmann Ghia coupe?

 Wow.
From what I hear, Honda Goldwings handle just like sport bikes with the added benefit of a whole lot of storage and a comfy riding position. I've always wanted to get a hold of one and strip it down cafe style and see what happens, heh.
just watch this

Yep :)

I guess you could call it a Notchback.

It's a Type III Notchback which is not a Karmann Ghia.
I've had a Type III Fastback and a '69 Karmann Ghia they are very different vehicles.
There is a fairly rare Type 34 Karman Ghia base on the Type 3 chassis but thats not what is pictured above.

Ahhhh...thank you for the correction. I get the Type 3 and 34's confused because I don't know them up close.

I only know the difference because I have owned some of them and have spent ALOT of time on www.thesamba.com

Hehe.. more weight removed.

The weight loss on that BMW is impressive, but I'd prefer to have a number of it with windows fitted and atleast a drivers seat

Windows were removed for cage construction. Front for sure and probably rear will be glass again. No driver/passenger windows. Rear quarters will be lexan.

Seat is a Recaro Proracer= +22lbs
Wiring harness has more that needs to be stripped out.
Dash will arriving shortly (CF)
Roof is being removed in favor of a BMW Motorsports CF unit as well.
Hood, fenders, trunk and possibly doors will likely be CF too.

Stock exhaust hasn't been removed in favor of a single exit or even side exit setup yet.
Further weight savings to be had in aftermarket suspension and likely wheel/tire setup as it will be running non DOT (no steel belts) Yoko a005 slicks.

So yes it will gain 100-150lbs in FIA 12 pt cage weight and the addition of aero/other odds in ends but also lose quite a bit more in other areas. It's going to be a fun build. I'll update more as it progresses.
