Hey,
I have decided to actually start participating on CR.
So here it goes...
I have a 1996 with a few nice mods:
turbo at about 8psi
Link ECU piggybacked so I can pass emissions
FM butterfly Brace
5zigen GN+ 15x7
OEM hardtop
and that is all the big stuff....

I spun my #1 rod bearing last semester and spent the entire fall rebuilding a short block.

And because I am stupid, after 800 miles of break in I now have a massive rod knock... So I am going to be tearing it out AGAIN over spring break.
My future mod plans involve coilovers, fixing the bodywork, water/meth, and aero.

At least you got to have fun while doing it. My turbo car came with a spun bearing! On the bright side now that I have to rebuild the motor I know it will be done right. What did you bore yours out to?

I bored it .02" over... Just minimum to get the cylinder walls fresh.
I only had the machine shop polish the crank and work on the block and shave the head, I replaced the rod bearings with oem size because the crank was still in spec after it was polished....
I think I just didn't torque the cap on correctly, but that honestly doesn't sound like me, should I get the crank balanced?
