My engine won't idle for long with the AC on. My car just started doing this on Friday, the engine died twice while sitting at a light. What's the deal?
This Florida heat is too much to be driving around without AC.

These days engine idle issue is very common and lots of drivers are facing the problem you have discussed here. Bad spark plugs can be a reason because it does two most important things inside your car.....it ignites the combustion chamber's fuel mixture and helps in removing excess heat from the combustion chamber. So, this way it works and helps your vehicle run smoothly. To know more and grab the right understanding do follow the below-given link. It will help you a lot. You can try to diagnose it by going to autozone!
they can do a FREE battery health check🔋 🪫
And also can test your alternator, it’s possible you need a new alternator, and or New belts, when they get worn out the electrical system doesn’t charge up to an adequate voltage. This will cause a lower voltage while normal driving scenarios (no heat/AC on, no wipers, day time)

when the voltage is low from the alternator not charging up or low battery health or worn belts, the car will have a power surge whenusing accessories like headlights, wipers, heat/AC, etc etc… hope u figure it out because it’s HOT THERE!!
