Well the other day My car started making some noise, So I put it up on the hoist and the the welds around the Resonator are broken. It sounds like crap right now and Im wondering what I should do.

My options are,

1. take it off and re weld it which isnt a big deal.

2. Remove the resonator and replace it with just a pipe.

3. Buy a new exhuats system or make a custom one.

thoughts ?

Before I decided to totally blow my budget I was considering the spec miata exhaust from mazdaspeed. It's made by bosal and only costs $150. I read one review that said it was tolerable for street use. You could always weld in a cheap resonator from JEGS or Summit to tone it down a bit.

or have an exhaust shop make one for you. whatever muffler you want, make it straight as possible for optimal flow, and have them put in a resonator if you like. i'm guessing it'll cost you $300 max.

only downside is you won't have your car for a day or two.
