I just got a new header (raceland) and was wondering about the gaskets they provide with the header. They provide two pretty junky looking gaskets. If i were to use these, would they hold/be reliable and if so, how exactly are these installed? Possibly a silly question but I figured I would go ahead and ask :).

Said gaskets...

They go where the header touches the engine. To answer your question, I wouldn't trust them. Get an oem header gasket. Only like $20 tops.

you can reuse the oem exhaust gasket at the head. multiple times at that. that felpro looking gasket looks like crap.

I've heard ALOT of bad things about fel-pro. For valve cover gaskets though. Never heard anything about their header gaskets. I wouldn't stray from oem when it's something as simple as a $20 part though.

I used a $20 gasket from Autozone. Looked a lot better than that one and it works perfect.
