Although at first glance it seemed like this was a game that was just aiming to bank off a crappy movie franchise, it turns out the opposite may be true. I did a lot of reading on the game, and it looks like the game is heavily rooted in the Japanese car scene. It has a variation of the Tokyo Bay shutoko system, as well as several mtn passes. It looks like a lot of really legit people and companies helped them with the game. It has a ton of lesser known (to the mainstream) Japanese tuning parts like Original Runduce, URAS, BN Sports etc. as well as more popular ones like Top Secret. I havent played it yet, but it should be in stores today. Just wanted to let you know that this may be the slepper racing game of the year, especially for the educated JDM enthusiast. It's only 40 bucks so I think it's worth a shot.

I will be keeping an eye out for reviews...
ditto, all I know is that its been under development FOREVER (like since the first F&F). Gonna be interesting to see how it fares against the ever popular NFS series, which lately has been the epitome of rice, but they sure know how to make an all around good game.

I have seen the F&F Arcade game machines...but havent played them...

last night i went and did some reading at ps2.ign.com to find out a little more about this game. I didnt pay much attention to it before, but I have to say it actually does look pretty good. if it has some decent driving physics to back up how it looks then it should fare pretty well. Ill probably check it out.
