I have no idea what the hell is the matter with me but I couldn't seem to leave well enough alone. Late one night with a cocktail in hand I saw an ad for a Mariner Blue '92 that had tapped a curb. My addiction to Miatas that don't work runs strong so I added another one to the collection.
Flipper.
Seemed a fitting name as I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do with him... Might fix it up for my daughter, might fix it up and flip it, might let my secret inner ricer come out and play. Seriously don't know but we'll see how things go as I start disassembly.
'92 and everything works. My first Miata with HVAC! And yes, even the A/C blows cold. Undocumented 80K on the engine which is running rich and smokes a tad on warm up. Once I get it to the point of rolling around I'll start the usual tune up stuff. Some random shots... BSP lo-pro lights and I have another set of OEM fog lamps in the garage.
Soft top is toast.
Came with a hard top!
So that's what an OEM engine bay looks like! Lot more crowded than I would've thought... might have to do something about that...
Hard Dog XTreme roll bar and door bars are on the list.
A Miata in my garage on jackstands is as normal as breathing...
Already got new control arms from TDR and will be getting some new bolts and nuts as well... Ouch.
Nothing a BFH won't fix.
Buddy Cassio is hooking me up with a body guy for a little side project...
Of course I started dicking with the interior too! Going to rebuild the shifter and received in a set of 'deco' vent rings from my friend revlimiter.
Ordered a set of VMaxx coilovers (kit with NB top hats) and a wheel/tire combo kit from rspeed.net. 15X7 Chaparral's in champagne with Yokohama 205/50/15 S Drives.
