Hi. I am up in the Treasure Coast area. Our club here has about 25 or so active members. I send emails out to close to 200 people, but we seldom see most of them. At the moment, we've been pretty quiet. Most of our members are retired and are keeping away from crowds and what not during this pandemic.
We do have a few of us that are looking to get away for a day or so and just cruise somewhere, have a picnic lunch, etc.
As far as racing and autocross goes, There are a few places in south Florida to go.
Palm Beach International Raceway does an Autocross on the 2nd and 4th Friday evening of the month. Tonight, August 7th, there is one. They use the go-kart track with a few cones and you just make runs until you wear yourself out. I went just before all this Covid stuff started and got over 30 runs in.
The Porsche Club of America, Gold Coast Chapter hosts autocrosses around the area and invites everyone to come. Very well run and a lot of fun. I won the STS class Championship in 2019. Great bunch of people. Usually get 12 runs in at an event. They split it into 6 morning, 6 afternoon.
You also have Street Racing Made Safe that holds autocross events on the go-kart track at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Another good bunch.
Welcome to the forums. I am not very active here, but check in occasionally.
