The Merkur XR4Ti was the U.S. version of the Ford Sierra. Turbo 2.3, 175 hp. Had an '86 and it was fast, when it wasn't broke. Traded it in on my first '90 Roadster.
The Ford Cosworth Sierra that the engine in the original post is from had a 2.0 turbo Cosworth DOHC head that put out 225 hp (?) and 250 hp from the uprated RS500 model.
The Merkur Scorpio was the larger 4 door based on the Euro Ford Granada of the day.
i have had 3 XR4Ti's and i loved every one of them...the first one saved my life...some lady hit me head on in my first one...if i was driving anything else i would not be posting right now...i still have one if anyone is looking?
is it weird to anyone else that the IC is behind the radiator?
