Has anyone fitted these, and do they make an appreciable difference, or are they mostly appearance items?

Any nice pics on Roadsters?

Thanks

Much like the spoilers on some CSP cars, I'd say they probably have some effect...

most definately useless on a street car as mentioned but also probably not legal in most states or countries due to possible lethal injury to padestrians ...

doubtful, you never really go faster then 40 maybe 50mph on an autox course. not to mention the turns wouldnt be happening that fast to warrant any use in those things.

I read something that said they are useless with other aids to go along with them such as side vents and front splitters to direct airflow.

From what i have heard, they are meant to smooth the airflow going down the sides of the car. Also i think they really only work at higher speeds. They supposedly do very little as far as downforce goes because they are placed in a low pressure zone on the car.

^^ exactly.

just for bling purpose if you don't have everything else aero already.

apr performance (not axis power racing) makes some universal canards. go to their site (www.aprperformance.com) and you can even print out the pattern, glue it to some cardboard and test fit it before you buy.

Takes balls to drive that car. I dont care how fast it is, Its ugly!

Edit...Moti made himself a set awhile ago.
It doesn't take balls at all. The car is fully functional, and there is a certain beauty in knowing that it looks exactly the way it is because is was the most efficient configuration he could create given his skills and budget (ie function > form within the budget).
