I got my Garage Vary tail light...I need help installin it since, I can't read Japanese.

Q
1. Do I need to grind tail light opening(rear part of the car ) to fit new round tail light? ( new lights seems to be bit large than the opening)

2. Kit came w/2 flat fiber glass piece that suppose to attatch around old tail light opening?

Thanks! Chris

Man, you figured out how to mount those flares on your own and you can't figure out this?

hehe, I just wanted to be sure b4 I bring out the grinder....I know some of you guys already install this kit ,so help me out!
Chris, you shouldn't have to grind anything!

The two fiberglass pieces go on the openings in the metal frame. Use the rubber gaskets off of the stock tail lights and put them between the metal opening and the fiberglass pieces. Each side goes on only one way to be correct.

I have some pics from my install. Let me find them and I'll post them here.

When I wash the car and spray directly on the back, a little water gets in the trunk. I just haven't taken the time to put a little weather stripping inside.
i know this is an older thread, but you got pics yet of them on?
I'm almost there but having trouble with the reverse lamp wiring. There is a pigtail with connector on the Daihatsu sourced reverse lamp. What does this lamp plug into? The hardware bag has a wire tap in it but I don't know which wire to tap into. Then do I run a single wire through the hole to the lamp? What about ground? Confused :( My shop manual is 400 miles away doing me no good right now.
On a related note, it would be handy if the hardware bag included washers for the mounting bolts. And if you're in the USA you have to drill two holes for the upper license plate mounts because the spacing is different than Japanese license plates.
