Just want to know if anyone is interested in a Hard Park all nighter on Thursday while we wait to get a PS3 on friday Morning. I haven't picked a location to hang out yet but maybe we can make this a dual purpose event.

What do you think?

check out the circuit city (www.circuitcity.com) in torrance they are releasing the ps3 on thursday at midnight and they will have 100 ps3 available.

what you do is, buy it, then turn around and sell it on ebay for a nice profit. (I checked earlier today, theyre going for around $1500) Its my understanding its going to be like the 360 last year.... supply<demand

Oh ya, the circuitcity that will have 100 PS3's in stock will be giving away 5 free ones. I'm unsure of how they'll pick these 5 lucky bastards though.

You might have to go a lot earlier though, like Wednesday evening. When they started to sell pre-orders, there were already dozens of people waiting for 2 days.

Expect to see hundreds of people at circuit city.

Best Buy kicked out those guys waiting since last week at the Burbank store. They actually called the cops :lol: Then they put up a sign saying that they don't want people there before the day before launch. Don't know how they're gonna enforce or regulate that.

There's a new rumor that Gamestop is not getting the full original allocation on launch day that they presold. Looks like Japan came up a little short of the full 100k estimate too, so who knows how many show up here.

This afternoon, I went to some Targets, Circuit City, and Best Buy. Only the Target in my area had a display case specially designed for the incoming PS3.

The BestBuy and Circuit City didn't even have a cardboard cut out...

Thank god there isn't already a crazy line forming! =D>

They'll be giving out numbers to those who are buying the PS3.

I get on a plane friday mornign at 9. So if there is a midnight release, I might be down. But I can't afford to sit there for 24 hrs before hand.

You could bring extra people with you to hold your space. Otherwise, you'll have to come at least 24 hours before it comes on sale.

Or, you could ask one of us to give you "cuts", in front of the line. (Prepare for some cursing, yelling, and screaming from others behind you) :wink:

I Work for Circuit City, and I was planning on camping out infront of my store, but who knows when they'll start waiting in line. I know no ones there yet, but I have a feeling it'll start soon. I think our store's only getting like 20 units too, so I might be out of luck. I'll wait and see how many we actually get before I decide to waist my night.

I doubt that the store manager would let anyone or groups wait days before they sell PS3's. Most call the cops and/or put up signs that say no camping allowed.

It's not good business having hundreds of people camping out of your store.

Don't believe too much in that "AD", there's no pictures and no proof that there's already a hundred people there.

I think I'll take my chances.

My manager already said he didn't care as long as they didnt leave trash all over
