So ive been searching for a very long time for a hardtop that is decent priced.. talking about 6 months here..

Finally found one for 700 bucks.. About 6hr drive.. been talking to this man about it for a week now.. Still haven't got no pictures yet.. its a older man selling it.. He tells me the hard top is in great shape.. he doesnt know the color since its been wrapped up... Well today after talking with him for about a week... he finally tells me...

THAT THE HARDTOP IS WRAPPED IN CLOTH?!?!? SO IT LOOKS LIKE A SOFT TOP BUT ITS STILL A OEM HARD TOP??!?!?!

SINCE THEN... IVE HAD ALL THE HARDTOP HARDWARE 2 DAY EXPRESSED SHIPPED SO IT WOULD GET HERE IN TIME BEFORE I LEFT TO GO PICK IT UP!!!!:fp:

I mean wtf? can you even strip that **** off ...is it worth all the work???

There are so many things that can go wrong.. if you get that cloth off..
Damage on the hardtop can be one.. if its wrapped in cloth?

He had the hardtop wrapped in cloth.. so however he did it.. its a cloth hardtop.. so the fiberglass can get fucked up when pulling it off i believe?

I think the paint would come off but it wont ruin the hardtop, but then again what do I know.

Im wanting to repaint it anways.. so the paint im not worried about.. im just worried about the cloth and how it was put on.. and if i strip it off.. is there any damage under that..
Is it worth the 700 bucks..

Someone told me i should offfer him alot less.. 700 was a deal until i found its cloth wrapped.

Wrap is in zebra fur, then enjoy all the dudes whistling at you because they think your a stripper on her way to work.

I was really hoping that would have been more cadillac-esque. Black with the chrome trim and gold rivets.
