So I just got a '90 Miata and I'm having this problem with the headlight motor/hazard switches that I've never had with an NA before. Both switches are fully operational except for one part, the switches won't stay depressed. So if I want my hazards to stay on I need to hold the button in, and if I want my headlights to stay up while they are off, I also need to hold that switch in. As you can imagine, this is not desirable.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I didn't think it was a common problem because I have never heard of this happening before. Is there anything I can do to fix the switch or should I just buy a new one? Thanks!

There have been many people get rid of the factory switches in favor of toggle switches. Would solve your problem and pretty easy to to also.......

I've been thinking about doing that too. Still wondering if anyone else has had this problem though.
