Back in the game. I used to have a few miatas many years ago but sold them to make room for other cars. Just bought a 92 and slowly restoring it to be a dedicated track beater. Right now I have an old BMW/MB and few other toys. With that said, its going to take me a while to restore this 92. My only plans with the 92 Miata for now is to work on the suspension and Rollbar. I'm looking to get another motorcycle in the near future so this miata project will probably be put to the side.

A little bit about me, I'm originally from Norcal but now living in Socal. I also enjoy taking my motorcycle to the track. I have a Bachelors in Business with a concentration in accounting. I'm in the accounting industry. The job is boring but allows me to have multiple hobbies. Here's a picture of my recent track event. Apologies in advance, if I can't reply right away busy with work and life. I'm an avid shooter at the local range, so if your into that send me a PM we can meet at a local shooting range. I'm a member at Oaktree and Angeles. Meaning, rentals are free going with me. If you have a BMW PM me at Zpost.com.

My Miata is currently at a storage, but here is a picture of my Z4 engine bay. It's daily driver. It's mostly stock, I recently took it to the track and it wasn't bad for an auto. The Z has the optional sport package so the handling was good.

My old track toy. The rear sub-frame was going bad and needed reinforcement plates ended up selling it last year after having it fixed.

Nice to meet you, like I said I got a Z4. I'm sure other members here have other toys than a miata lol. What generation miata do you have? Any projects or new mods? I used to have a 92/94/96/. My current project right now is replacing my rear shocks and speakers on my Z4. The back shocks went bad last week. I'll probably post a pic when I'm done.
Yeah it feels like a lot of people here have either replaced their Miata with a BMW or have added a BMW as well.

I still have my 1992 NA, will never sell that car as long as I live. This summer it needs new hubs, and if I can decide on tires, new tires and maybe wider wheels? And an oil cooler and a fuel pump since that literally just **** the bed last weekend. And figure out a new exhaust. It's more of a science project than a car.

Exocet project is on hold until I have enough room to put it together.

Other dumb stuff I have going on, just picked up an E36 M3 sedan to turn into a track beater... Daily is a E350 4matic wagon.

My number one priority really needs to be selling this 1964 Galaxie!
^Nice I love the E36 it brings back memories. The E36M3 chassis should be better than the flimsy E46. My old e46 started deforming around the mounting points in the back. That's great you have your 92. I made a mistake in selling mine. I remember paying about $2k for my 92 years ago now it's about double. It had FM suspension w/ butterfly brace and hard dog roll bar. I had Rebello do the top end work. What do you think about Racing Beat exhaust for your 92? I had the sport variant and quality was good. BTW, are you on the Bimmer forum? I'm sure the Galaxie will sell for a good price.

Just got done replacing the speaker. The plastics gets brittle with age. Now I gotta buy new parts lol. Tomorrow I'm gonna finish the shocks. Coffee helps.

Nice progress.

Ah, I haven't joined any BMW forums yet, but it would be a really good idea. I need to upgrade the front sway bar, not sure what the best options are right now.

Racing Beat is high quality stuff which is probably why I don't own any of their parts, lol. I actually have a turbo exhaust made by an ex-forum member, Dan's Creations, way back in 2010 or so. Unfortunately he sold his car and stopped making parts after a couple of years. It would be amazing if someone copied the jig... Such a cool piece.

^Thanks. I go to this site BMW Forum, BMW News and BMW Blog - BIMMERPOST
You might like H&R swaybars for your E36. Check out Turner Motorsports they have some good stuff. There's also ECS Tuning.

Not sure if you're familiar with garagestar you might like their parts. I knew the owner back when I used to go to meets up in Norcal. This is my old miata, I got the pic from mazdaroadster.net just now. Do you have a picture of your 92? The turbo exhaust sounds cool. It reminded me of this guy I knew at a muffler shop he made me a custom welded intake for my old 92. I wish I could find the picture.

Everything for the back end arrived today including the reinforcement plates for the top mounts. I'm still waiting for the front struts to arrive, but for now I'm happy.

Someone took this pic of the 92 a couple of weeks ago.

You're not going to talk about the Porsche in the photos??

That's a nice 92 you got there. You look like you're having a lot of fun! That's what I love about the miata, you can push the car hard without having to worry about breaking something. They are super reliable and the consumables are very minimal. My 92 is in the storage right now just needs a good buffing and suspension overhaul. I would be happy with 150-160rwhp on NA miata that's all it needs, It is very light.

Last time I mentioned the Porsche years ago a couple of forum members here gave me a hard time about it, saying that I was pretending to own one. One guy even went out of his way to try and make up stuff and said that I took pictures of cars off the street, but hey I offered to give them a ride and they never responded back. I try to keep it on a down low to avoid attracting those people.

Now that you mentioned it. The 911 is all stock except for a tune. Factory hp is 355 at the flywheel if I can remember. After the tune it's closer to 385 @flywheel. Ive only taken it twice to the tracks years ago, but it was great no doubt about it. Even without the ECU tuning the car felt truly complete. I just got a deal on the tuning. Trackday expenses are on the higher side with this car, so I just rent a Uhaul bike-trailer for $50 and bring the 900RR to the tracks.

My plan is to take the miata to the tracks eventually. I felt that my old 96 gave me the best bang for the buck. The aftermarket support for the NA is unbelievable.

Bought a pressure washer and cleaned the engine and under-chassis. The only thing left to install are the front struts. The pressure washer is truly a game changer for cleaning all my toys. Made the cleaning experience fun on a whole new level.

This thread is so wholesome.

Nice work on the BMW. I'm halfway through the power steering pump on the M3, this should inspire me to finish.
