I need help diagnosing a possible problem...

when i gradually press the brakes, such as when im rolling to a stop sign, i hear a noise comming from the rear drivers side wheel of the car

the noise is like a scraping sound and as im braking it's like this : scrape,scrape,scrape...scrape...scrape......scrape........scrape (so its not constant and is just as im slowing down)

also it was making a squeaking sound as i was driving home on the freeway today from the same corner of the car...

im going to jack up the car on my lunch break tomorrow and see if i can inspect the wheel and brakes,...what should i look for

this just started two or three days ago, anybody have any idea what it could be?

:(

oh- wait, i dont think it can be something like a bent dust shield because it isn't a constant scraping. it sounds like its on one part of the rotor...lololol im trying hard to describe it; it's not a scraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaape, it's more of a scrape, scrape, scrape, i hope i can find out what it is tomorrow....
