I am buying a '93 Miata from Miami. I live in NJ. Is there anyone that can look at the car for me and tell me from a mechanical point of view why it doesn't start? I think there is a fuel flow problem, perhaps the fuel pump, just not sure. It would need to be a mechanically inclined person. PM me or email me at [email protected] for the particulars.

Thanks, Frank

Jump into the miami miata thread or the wrenching season thread and ask for help. There are plenty of guys down that way.

Thanks to Eddie in Miami for helping me out. He went above and beyond, and confirmed what I thought. Thanks again!

mmm bad shape?
Not at all, the car was solid. No rust except for to dime size surface spots on each end of the sill plates, everything original, great interior. Would not start due to a fuel pump issue. I could get it to run for about 30 second at a time by spraying starting fluid into the intake spout. Not sure how much the owner was asking for the car. That was between him and medition.
