92 1.6 w Begi turbo kit.

Running fine all morning then the heat gauge needle jumps. No obvious leaks. Top main radiator hose not heavily pressurized. Water in the system. Heater is cold, not blowing heat.

What's the most obvious cause? Failed thermostat? Something else
