my first car was a doo-doo brown cavalier 2.0 automatic. Id do a neural-drop burnout every day for a year and just could not kill it.

ended up selling it for $1500 more than I paid.

They're not real toyotas, aren't they really Chevys or somethink? There's some running around down here, but they're somewhere near the bottom of the food chain ... seem to get sold to people with not much cash ... or car knowledge

It was part of the deal with GM getting to sell Corollas as geo prisms, chevy foisted this hunk o'crap off on toyota. Toyota, being the soldier it is, even produced TRD parts for it. I think that's why they insisted on being the primary engineer on their next joint venture with chevy with the matrix/vibe (which are both sold as toyotas in japan through different dealer networks) so they wouldn't get the short end of the stick.
