Recovered the car late afternoon sitting on the pavement. Was missing wheels with fresh tires, radio torned out, they took my umbrella, and meter money..

Man, that sucks, but I'm glad you found your car. They may have taken your wheels, radio, and meter money, but at least they did not completely strip your car. You still have your hard top that's worth a pretty penny itself and judging by that picture, they did not mess up any of the paint.

Yea. Luckily I had a Top Lock brand lock on it! Apparently they had some sort of key. They got in with no problem and ignition switch wasn't damaged at all..

Miata locks and ignition are crap. I've heard multiple stories of people accidentally opening and starting someone elses Miata before they realized it wasn't theirs.
All it really takes is a similar Miata key.

Must not of been a miata owner who took it, cause you know as well as I do that car would of been stripped down and used for parts. You go to meets? may be some one got your VIN went to the dealer paid the 100.00 for a key to be made, and in reality paid a 100.00 for your wheels, and didnt want the car at all. I would watch out now they know where to go get more wheels when your insurance gives up the cash for more replacements.
