Im Nick, im from tampa fl. i dont own a roadster yet(yeah i know, what the hell is wrong with me? :? ) but i really want to. i currently have a cressida but i want to get rid of it and get a 1st gen miata. i know a little about them. Ive driven an autocrossers Rpackage and have fallen in love ever since, i cant get enough of them. i see your guys miatas and it pushes me to get one. i want to learn alot more about them and hopefully own my own really soon. :mrgreen:

mine is an 86 zenki cress thats an awesome combination of cars heh

the car i drove in HS was a burgundy 86 cressida. i'd love to get another one just for nostalgic value. in fact, i tried buying one off of craigslist but the sale didnt go through.

what's that "zenki" stuff mean?

its a different front and rear tailight combination along with different interior, options etc. 85 to 87 cressidas like Dickers and mine are known as zenki's. these are known as kouki's

they are uglier in my opinion.

I think we're splitting hairs here... I used to have an 88 camry before the miata. Ugly as sin but it was a great car. A tank, comfy, and ugly as hell.

they flipped the taillights over and made the grill ugly for the change.

sweet. maybe next year, i'll have a beat up old cressida in the driveway too.

i guess mine was a zenki (86). it was burgundy when it was fresh out the factory. but by the time i was driving it, it was more brown. we called it the poop-mobile. the rear springs sagged so much a lot of people thought i slammed the car. so i told people i did. haha
