Welcome. I hope you find a nice Miata that will bring you enjoyment. What does a Roadster sound like?
Welcome!

A "tip" won't do anything for sound or performance. Are you after a bit more aggressive, smooth tone or a sportbike wail?
more of a smooth tone..not a wine
roadster sport exhausts are pretty smooth, and racing beat.
I like my unresonated summit turbo... its nice and vintage sounding, 1950's tech :)

heres that thread with roadstersport sound clips

This should help you figure out if you would like a resonated or non resonated midpipe.
My vote is for the Racing Beat or the Bosal.

Personally, I can't understand how people can live with raspy exhausts for anything other than a race car. I really can't...I must be getting old (at age 25  ). It might sound cool the first time, but after awhile...yeek! I should know ;)

Check this thread for some ideas :)

... I love it... so fucking cool to me :)
I love full throttle//6k+ mmm so good.
<--27 this year
i'll echo the vote for racing beat. at cruising speed it's pretty quiet but when you want a growl, it'll do it for you. not ricey either.

you can find exhausts and other stuff here: ravenwingperformance.net
i had an old racing beat, it was different than the current one, can't remember the exact differences. it sounded nice but was too quiet for my tastes. Maybe it wouldn't be now (that was liek 5 years ago) but, just a thought.
ebay header, magnaflow 2.5" cat flanged like OEM, magna flow 2.5" muffler 22" long flanged and bolted directly to the cat. no tail pipe yet.

yes it is kind of loud but not as loud as a header only. it is very smooth and has no rasp. it gurgles on decel and has a suave roar on full throttle from 4 to 8 grand. sound clips to come.

this is all on a 1.8L and cost less than 90 bux not counting the header.
Oh, and I am addicted to the sounds of good custom exhausts.
