Are you talking about, "How to Make Your Car Handle" by Fred Puhn? I really like "Race Car Vehicle Dynamics" by Bill and Doug Milliken (world renowned experts in vehicle dynamics) and most books by Carrol Smith.

i have tune to win by carrol smith. good book...but quite old. however, the basics...are still true and fundamentally correct.

i found 1-2 from different books with info that contradicts each other...feels funny like as if the other fell asleep and wrote some info backwards. lost the other book(it has a red prelude in front) but i think fred puhn is correct.
the minor topic being wheel spacing pg.124
positive offset is towards out from the center line right???
