I bought it about a year ago. Maybe some one recognizes it and/or knows a previous owner? I bought it from a pretty cool dude named Austin and he told me that the guy who owned it before him is the one who set it up with the aftermarket goodies.

I am a long time fan of miatas and I sold my 97 M3 so i could finally get one. So far the miata is just as much fun for a fair bit less money.

This pic was in the CL ad that convinced me to be a miata man (taken by Austin I presume).

I've seen it before. IIRC that car had it's hardtop stolen off of it a few months back.

edit: fail. I guess that was you that posted. I do remember pictures of the car floating around this forum a while back though.

Yeah they are Panasports (for racing use only!). I also like them very much.

And yeah that was my hard top that was stolen about a month ago, and alinastar9, who apparently lives down the road from me, had their hard top stolen the same night. Everyone on here was very helpful and supportive with the whole situation.

Now I have a little cash from insurance to make my little buggy more exciting to drive!

What?!!! You sold an m3 to get a miata?
Well I sold my E36 M3 and used the money to buy the miata AND a 98 Subaru forester for my old lady and I still had a little money left over. I miss certain things about the M3 (chassis, brakes, engine, looks...) but every summer I was jealous of all the roadster guys driving around with the top down.
I ride a motorcycle as well, but in Portland I feel the need to take full advantage of the sunshine whenever I can, whether it be car or bike.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
