no its not a mistake the price $145$ ill say it again 145, one hundred and fourty five dollars. OEM hardtop with latches and everything, just a bit of chip paint, even matches the car (white), no defroster, so now i have two =)x9128419
i think it was the best come up i have ever had, next to the time when i actually got the miata, and i think i've been rewarded by the Gods for spotting soo many mark a$$ tricks

Hope its not nicked. There was a MX5 parts specialist in the UK allegedly having hardtops stolen to order.....
I'm sure it's not...I've bought two this year (a BRG one for $200 and a red one for $150). In both situations the car had been wrecked and the hardtop was sitting in the garage collecting dust. I sold the red one for $800 and have kept the BRG one (looks nice on my white NA). You just have to be quick. I called on the red one 10 minutes after it was posted...when I picked it up the owner said that she had 8 other "offers", but since I called first it was mine. For those of you looking for one...keep checking CL (often), and don't hesitate. I missed a really nice 97 M hardtop for $300 because I hesitated. You win some you lose some.

Cheers,
Ike

Was this a straight buy or did you trade it with something?

Where on earth did you guys get cheap hardtops? Whenever I search Los Angeles CL and type in Miata hard top, I get like 1 or 2 results that are usually $800+ with paint scratches.

Damm...That's a great find. Thought I did well when I received a call on Saturday from a couple that gave their Miata to the daughter for school. She didn't want the hard top ....so it sat. He wanted to know if I was interested in removing it from his garage. I said sure "How Much". He said is $300 OK? Well I couldn't get dressed fast enough and drove up without knowing the color of the top. Didn't matter anyway. He opened the garage door and there sat a sweet nearly perfect Classic Red top from a 90 model (Glossy Latches). Brought it home, gave it a minor rub-down and now resides on my shop car.. Man.. you just never know what you'll find these days lurking in people's garages.

I bought an 01 black hardtop today in SD for $500. CL add was listed at 8:49am and I called at 9:10. Not sure if I want to keep it or flip it for $500 profit? :?:

I officially hate you with a passion. But I've had my fair amount of comeups to. Good job. Don;t burn the golden lists of postings. Not everyone knows what sites to hunt on. LOL
I got my 1993 "c" package black with tan for $500. That was my come up. LOL

I picked up one off of Craigslist for $450. It was from a 2005 Miata that was wrecked. Headliner and rear defroster. I had to have it painted though. There are deals to be found out there. $145 though... that is amazing. =D> =D>

I got mine at a local junkyard for 175$. I was scrounging around and as i was leaving a 1990 was rolling in on the back of a tow truck. it was donated from some lady. but i asked about the hardtop and he said 400$ i started walking away and he stoped me and asked "how much do you have?". i chuckled and said 200$ he said ok. as i was counting i only had 175$ he said ok.

just keep your eyes open. youll see it someday.

Nice find by the way.

Man, I'd be stoked just to find a Miata at junkyard around here...
