Under "Events"

Click the "New Topic" button on the upper left

Fill in "Subject" field, placing your region at the beginning (i.e. "SOCAL")

Fill in "Message body" field

Below the "Message body" field, there's a section "Calendar Event" with an icon of a calendar:

Clicking on that calendar icon pops up a window labeled "Date Selector"

Within the calendar in the "Date Selector" window, click on the date of the event

The "Date Selector" window closes itself and adds the date of your event into the little window (albeit in a confusing "month/date/year" format) to the left of the calendar icon

Use the "Event type" pull-down menu to categorize your event

Click "Submit" and you're done!

Edit like any other post that you created.

Thanks for the tutorial. It is appreciated. I'll see if I can go back and add recent events to the calendar for people that may have forgot to.
