Hey guys,
I'm in the market for a miata, which in the northwest is proving to be pretty difficult.
I want to spend a max of $2,500, and realistically, would like the car to have under 150k miles. I found this on Craigs, and I'm debating on if it's a good deal. I love everything about it except the salvage title. I emailed the guy and he said he doesn't know what it's from and neither does the previous owner. But I think I could talk him down to $2,500, I just don't know how worried I should be about this title. Anything that I should look for? Should I just be patient and wait? I don't see many good deals here.

Patient and wait

Edit: I waited over 4 months before I got mine, and was searching for cars within 1000 miles (distance shouldn't rule out a good car!). How about a 1.8 with a few minor issues, under your max budget?

Or one thats closer, but has a little bit more miles.

Ah, well seeing the one in Reno basically just set my mind that I need to wait. That's a killer deal.

I talked to the guy with the blue Miata you see and he was really rude and wouldn't answer any questions. I asked to meet him and look at the car and he told me he wouldn't meet me because I sounded like a tire kicker.
Haha, oh well. I'm sure i'll find something.

What do you guys think about this one? He told me he would talk $1900 and the engine swap was Done by a local shop and he has documentation. The guy is really nice too. Should I worried that it's at a beach- ie should I look out for heavy rust? Thinking about driving down there tomorrow. http://oregoncoast.craigslist.org/cto/2836088479.html
Do you mind the body kit, wheels, and fact that it has a different motor? I would look at the Smurf Blue someone posted.

I really like the motor, I don't mind the body kit. I can swap it out later but at this point I just want a miata. I tried meeting with the Guy with the smurf blue but he wouldn't give me any background info on the car and he was just really rude and two eager to sell his car.

that last one realy isent a bad deal, the only thing i would worry about is the front bumper. sometimes in order to make them fit right they need to take out or moddify the front support, if you ever get into a front end accident you might end up with the engine in your lap. just something to check out/look at.
