I just picked up an 06 NC two and I wanted to say hi to everyone. I've been lurking for awhile but I waited until I got my NC to make a post. I had to drive 300 miles to pick up my NC but it was worth it. On the drive home the check engine light came on >< i figured it was because of the thermostat and I was right. I picked up a thermostat at my local Mazda before work the next day and installed it after work. I also ditched the stock sports suspension (it really is pretty bad) and put on a set of Tein Flex's that I had around (saving for the Ohlins). I haven't had a chance to put the car through it's paces yet but I hope to get the car out to Buttonwillow in the near future.

My new (to me) NC1:

Welcome!!!

The NC chassis has really grown on me.
The NC chassis has just recently grown on me too. I didn't consider it until a few weeks ago. When I started to look at more pics of them I really wanted one.

Why are you progressing backwards (....regressing?) in your car choice.
I just moved back into the country and I wanted something cheap and fun. I would like to be able to purchase a home in the not too distant future so I'm trying to save as much money as I can for that.

Mind telling us what order you drove them in and what decisions made you change from car to car and end up with an NC?
My FD was basically a track only car, the only time I drove it on the street was to drive to and from the track. I had that car for about 5 years (never gave me any problems) but I had to sell it to move out of the country. During the time I had the FD my NA Miata was my daily driver. I picked up the NSX really cheap from a customer where I worked and I was planning on driving it a bit then flipping it. However my friend loved it so I sold it to him for what I paid for it. I got the S2000 as a daily driver/track car after I sold my FD so I'd have something fun to drive for the few months I was still here. I was contemplating getting another S2000 now that I'm back but I wanted to try something new, while I was in Korea I drove my friends S2000 CR a lot at the Korean F1 track. The NC miata is fairly cheap, has cheap insurance, and is good on gas; that's how I ended up with an NC.

Here I am at the Korean F1 track during a track day
