So i've done the retrace your steps backwards thing, drove to all the spots i went to today and still no keys!

i guess i'm just waiting for them to come to me :?

anyone know how much it is to get a set of keys from the dealership?

An option is to get a locksmith to come make you a key, especially since our keys don't have transponder chips in them. After that, go to Home Depot, Wal-Mart, whatever, and get duplicates made.
The price usually will come out much cheaper than the dealership, unless you know someone.

Was less than $15 bucks I believe for the special order old style key for my 90 model.

If you give your VIN to the dealership, they will give you the keycode for your cars keys.

Then you take that code to a reputable locksmith that has been around for a while.

They will be able to use the key code to reproduce your factory key.

Usually costs around $20-30

The dealer near us will make you the keys right there on the spot for $10. Dunno if all the others are set up that way.

I have used my VIN to get a key at the dealer.
They didn't ask for any proof of ownership.
Kinda scary, what was your VIN again?

Also you can take out the passenger lock cyl and the key code is on it.
A locksmith can cut you a key from that too.

the good news, i called the dealership at Roscoe by the freeway, and with proof of ownership, bring the vin number and license i can get a set of keys for $10.

THE BAD NEWS, everything is in my car. so a buddy with the slim is coming trough so we can open my car and get everything, oooo another thing, i gotta take out this alarm cuz i lost the switch. can that be replaced?
