Replace ALL the coolant hoses. Buy 6-8 feet of vacuum hose and change that too.

I don't think your plan is overboard. It's smart. What is peace of mind worth to you?

Just be VERY careful with your heater hoses. Carefully cut them with a razor blade until you can gently pull them off. The tubes are soft copper so you can find yourself in need of a new heater core if care is not taken.

yessir :D its a 89 GTA..my first love haha..

dont know if this is all needed but its my auto-x and play car :D full suspension done as well as 1 3/4" headers with a 3" collector to a dual cat 3" pipe all the way back to dual exits..and of course a good tune for the PROM : 3gears: and a bunch of other little things

+1 I would have done the same if the PO of my NA didn't provide the maintenance records since it's been owned. Good luck to you!
